Swiss Steak I




Swiss Steak I

Must Have:

1/ two cup sifted flour
three teaspoons salt
1/ two teaspoon pepper
one ( two pound) round steak ( one 1/2-inch thick)
three tablespoons fat
one small onion, minced
two cups tomatoes

How To:

Mix flour, salt and pepper. Pound into steak with tenderizer or potato masher. Brown in fat in heavy skillet. Put onions to tomatoes. Boil 5 minutes. Pour over steak. Bake at 350 degrees F for 2 hours.
